Function keys

Warplan is a World War 2 simulation engine. It is a balance of realism and playability incorporating the best from 50 years of World War 2 board wargaming.

Function keys

Post by PanzerMike »

Posted this in the Tech support forum, but maybe it will get more responses here.

In the modding manual is this:
In Game Testing
F1-F4 = Sets the current A.I. moving player plan to number of the function key. It will write a description in the output log.
F7 = Increase A.I. move and attack speed to 0.01s for testing.
F8 = Can only be done in Main Menu, New Game. It sets the selected game to play itself.
F11 = During the computer’s turn the map will show the current map orders for the side doing their turn. Blue = assault Aqua = attack Yellow = defend Red = weak
F12 = Reveals information about hex where mouse is hovering. FrCV = Friendly land unit combat value within tactical range. FrLand = Friendly land amount in tactical range. FrAir = Friendly air amount in strategic range.

I can only get the F8 option to work (by the way, the only way to stop an AI-AI game is to end the warplan.exe proces in the taskmanager...).

How do I get the other keys to work? When and where do I press them to actually see something happen? I am stumped right now. Anybody?

F1-F4 on the A.I. turn. There is no display.... it just forces their strategy. I think the Debug log says something.
F7, F8 in the main menu screen

F11 and F12 need CONTROL ALSO or is it alt? I forgot... I added that in because players were accidentally doing it in games. Ill update the manual.
