is the Russian AI on the Eastern Front less prone to let himself be encircled coming this last update? Also, my Axis units seem to be suffering substantially more casualties than I am used too for multiple turns now (I invaded the USSR in 1941) in my playtest? The Russian units don't die as easily it seems (hardly any overruns) and are less brittle. Anybody else see this? Did anything change or am I just hallucinating

Yes, the new shattered rule introduced has helped a lot to defend Russian. You will need to concentrate now to advance without being too low on effectiveness before first winter.
