[WAD][[1292.1]PATROL MISSION Engage settings

Already from version 1287.1 I had noticed in ground Patrol missions the setting "Number of A/C that engage hostile contacs" on "none" does not work. Attached is a save where I set up Ground patrol missions to drones and I would like that once a hostile unit has been identified, they return to look for others without engaging, instead as it is identified they engage. If the setting is on a number instead it works, for example if set to "1" only one uav at a time of the three will engage.
In Air patrol missions, on the other hand, with "none" setting in "number of a/c that engage hostile contacs", they engage only if the hostile contact is inside the patrol area and in weapon range.

This is not meant for this purpose . Like the "try to keep" if it's set to 0 all planes will go . Use WRA settings instead or don't arm the drones

There is an option for "none" and one for "all".

one thing that I have not clearly specified is that in the ground patrol , unlike air patrol,it also engages a target not in range, so it moves towards the target

Is this considered WAD?

i haven't tried the latest build. in previous builds when the option was "none" my uav did not enter engaged so it did not move towards the target but resumed searching around. so I would say no, the none option does not work

Hi Micaz91,
in the TEST1 scenario you posted I was able to avoid any engagement from the UAV by disabling
"Investigate unknow contacts outside the patrol area" and "Investigate unknow contacts within weapon range".
Those two options are disabled in conjunction with "Number of ACs that engage hostile contacts" set to "none". This prevents any weapons from being fired.
As soon as the "Number of ACs that engage hostile contacts" is set back to a numerical value the weapons are fired as expected.

Thank you! You are a spectacular development team, I can really feel the passion and great competence even through the screen. I refer to development in general not to this topic, you are always ready with the support to offer us the most complete simulation possible, without compromising to please "everyone". Thank you Deserere and Dimitri

today I could play a game and I tried to disable both "Investigate unknow contacts outside the patrol area" and "Investigate unknow contacts within weapon range" but the UAV still engages and shoots targets once identified. I'm on 1292.1.
Anyway I think that "Number of ACs that engage hostile contacts" set to "none" should be enough not to engage my units, maybe I want them to investigate outside the area but still not engage

Hi Micaz, can you post a scenario with this last example? I'm not able to have my UAV engage the target.
Thanks

Thanks to you! Heres a new save, this time i also put the WCS Land on Hold and so it acts as desired, if it is put back on Tight the uav fires. One thing I noticed is that if I reopen the save until I create a new mission it doesn't refresh the mission editor, showing me the mission with the previous parameters. Even if I open another scenario, but don't open the mission editor , and reopen the save it shows me the mission editor as before closing the scenario and the changes to the mission are not effective, plus the WRA page is empty. I create a mission and everything is fine, or I open another scenario and open the mission editor and everything is fine. Another little thing that has nothing to do with it, if I open the benchmark it tells me that the pc has 16gb of ram, but in reality it has 32
