I get this when trying to update a newly purchased download

ERR_DETECTS5.50.34.0FAILED
Could not get the specified value's data.

So when I just try to play the game without the update, it asks for permission to make changes to the app, I click yes, a C-prompt black screen flashes on, then goes away, and nothing else happens.

Hi Kevin -- I've just done a quick test of the 5.50.34 update available on https://www.matrixgames.com/member/mypage and it appears to be working correctly.
