If you have an extreme high end system you might see this problem

Today we had a user report an issue that we had never seen before. Ultimately it traced back to the fact that he was running a super high-end processor - an "Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10980XE CPU @ 3.00GHz (36 CPUs)" Note the "36 CPUs" - 18 were physical and 18 were hyperthreading. We had yet to see a CPU like that but we were impressed.
Long story short, this CPU had 4 cores more than our multi-threading library could reliably handle. The problem experienced as a consequence was:
1. Player attempts to load any scenario and it crashes before it is fully loaded
2. A screen pops up showing a "Range check error" at the bottom of the first ("general") tab and tab 2 ("call stack") has a reference to TOmniAffinity in it. Aha! This is what we are talking about. We will get an update to the library but in the meantime, if you have this problem you can fix it by downloading a replacement game executable called "FlashpointCampaigns4142.exe".
This has been zipped up (18.5 MB) and placed here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/152ldl7k2f5ti ... 2.zip?dl=0 . At some point soon I'm sure we will find a better home for it but we really wanted to get this out quickly in case anyone else had the same problem.
To apply this patch please download and unzip this file to a safe location. It contains "FlashpointCampaigns4142.exe" to distinguish it from all the other FlashpointCampaigns.exe files that might be around. Rename it to "FlashpointCampaigns.exe" and copy it into your game installation directory, replacing the one that is already there. The only change this file makes is that it fixes the problem described above. Note: this file is NOT signed by Matrix Games yet, so if an alert message comes up when you try it, this is why.
We don't know how many systems will be affected by this problem and require this fix, but we are uploading it now so that people can quickly get going again. A more thorough fix will be included in the first Hotfix that we issue.
Thank you for buying Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm. The team truly appreciates it.
