Modding Documents

Finally, after much delay, the last 4 Field Manuels (FMs) covering game modding are here. Please download and unzip these PDFs into your game's documents folder to have them visible from the game's main menu in the Help tab.

If you use these documents and encounter spelling or grammar issues, bad information, or something missing, please post here so I can update them.

Thanks.

Well, new content was announced on Tuesday with the Central Storm expansion. I am also hoping to have the Content and Mod Docs by the end of the year (I'm busy on several fronts, and docs are my work area). Hopefully, that will have some additional content getting made when folks have full docs.

Gents,

Is there any way to make a localization/translation for the game?

Unfortunately, no. The UI is not designed to support it, and a ton of the game's text is in the code.

As an update, the Content Documents (Scenario, Battle Planning, and Campaign design) are done and will drop with the next 2.1.4 update. That update should be soon. The Mod Docs will be out in late April if all goes well.

That's a bummer :(

Should it be one of the improvements in the to-do list for the next versions (Central or Northern Storms)?

There are no plans to deal with localization at this time.

Did manuals 07-10 get released? I only have 01-06. I have the steam install.

7 thru 10 are in work now. One done, one in review, one getting cleaned up for review the last one is in work. The plan is to release them when done on the Matrix Games site and then get them into the last Southern Storm update.

Data Structures, Page 25, you wrote "cannister", but probably meant "canister".
Page 28, you wrote "artillary", but you probably meant "artillery".

Thanks for the typos. I will fix those and see why my spell checker missed those.
