I am trying to move towards the longer scenarios & have started a game against the AI at "easy" of Operation Mo, which I believe is Scenario 6. I started trying to hold Gili Gili, which seems pretty daunting against the force the AI brings, so I started over and decided to hold Lunga, which has worked so far. It's about 10 days in and now I'm wondering how to raise the av. support & get a VMF fighter squadron in.
There is an Aviation Eng. Btn. up the coast from Noumea, but what's the best way to get it to Lunga? Once that's done, is it best to transfer the VMF via base transfers or is it worth a carrier trip?

The problem is that EAB does not have any aviation support. You will need to take a Base Force to Lunga. Might consider taking the one from Port Vila.

Thanks for letting me know. Actually, I have an AP pulled up at Port Vila in case that was necessary, but the engineers are about to complete the expansion of port & AF so I guess I'll let it wait a turn.
So what exactly to the EAB do? Just grade the airstrip? Thanks.

Yep, build and repair. They have dozers so they get it done fast.
