I'm new to the game and still figuring things out. I have the game running in full screen windowed mode, but the map is so broad that individual hexes are tiny. Is there a way to zoom in on the map?

Can't speak for others, but I just lower my screen resolution.

Sadly no. This is a feature I've always wished for. Having a large monitor helps, but it's no substitute. Like Yaab I usually play at 800 x 600 pixels resolution and scroll around a lot.

Thanks I was able to achieve a good result with a resolution of 1024x768

Yes there is - in Windows.

In Windows-Ease of Access tools there is one called magnifier. When you select that you can magnify what is under the cursor. I presume Esc cancels it. You can also change your whole screen resolution by CTRL+ or CTRL-, but in game this might not work.

I use Zoomit.

Just download and start it to have it "actvie". When you want to zoom in, once activated, hit "alt+Z", the zoom level changes with the mouse wheel. Just hit "esc" to deactivate it and allow you to give orders etc.

I found it much better than the windows default version.
