Minor countries like Switzerland/Austria

Love the maps. As a Swiss growing up in that time, I was told that Soviet tanks would be at our front steps in about 72 hours. I was always wondering about such a conflict.
I would love if there was a Swiss/Austria map and Swiss/Austria forces since any a conflict like this would have been an all European conflict. Or maybe the Swiss/Austrians would not have made a big impact. Not sure.

All things are possible with enough time and interested contributors.

I tried to work on an Austrian DB for Red Storm years ago (2015). I am Austrian, as you probably guess. I know the OOB, even some TOEs (though there is basically no reference material on this), and even some operational planning. I would be happy to help out, but professional commitments prevent me from doing any work for at least this year.
It is very doubtful though that both countries would have seen a Soviet soldier. Austrian strategic military planning considered a Pact invasion in the frame of a NATO/PACT conflict as extremely unlikely. Austrians, Hungarians, Italians and Slovenians pretty much all agree nowadays that the idea of a SGF push trough Austria was pure madness. Seriously, take a map. You don't want to drive T-64s over mountain passes; the losses (even considering the poor defense we had, the Hungarians considered this a meatgrinder) outweigh the benefits. A drive through Slovenia, perhaps with the consent of the Yugoslavians, is considered much more likely. And given the time tables the PACT had, a flanking maneuver through Austria to attack Bavaria would need troops that were better committed elsewhere while taking longer than the main push in Germany itself.
Both Austria and Switzerland would have been gobbled up after the capitalist-militarist alliance had been crushed and true socialism had been brought to Germany and France. (Think of Unternehmen Tannenbaum in WWII.)
With that said, from a pure scenario standpoint, pushing Soviet/Hungarian forces over the Gaberl and Pack mountain passes would surely be entertaining. Soo many recoilless rifles and LAWs...
