Can you provide a unit breakdown that illustrates the differences between AA:RDOA and AA:HTTR to give us an idea of how things have changed?

The attached diagram is composed from screenshots taken from the new ScenMaker application, using its Force List. You can see that in the new structure, the Gds Arm Gps now have two subHQs, one armour and the other motorised infantry. Each has a company cross-attached - ie an inf coy -> arm Bn while an arm coy -> inf Bn. The 43rd Inf Div brigades now have three subHQs each containing a number of companies and support troops.

Wow, that will certainly make for better control at times but certainly will keep us paying attention to where we put things.

Hate to find that I left my AT boys behind yet you probably are getting much more bang for the buck with Arty split out and able to be moved around behind the front lines.

Also looks a lot easier to commit the cardinal sin of moving pure armor in unsupported just from looking at the mix breakdown.

Whole new set of embarrassments to learn :D

Thanks for the screenshot Dave!

Actually, the new structures have ben built around the combined arms team - ie with infantry and armour mixed together. In other words they reflect what happened in practice rather than the theoritical structures. Note that the Arm Bn in the Gds Gp has a mech inf company and the mot inf Bn has an arm sqn. Each of the Inf Bns from the 43rd Div now have an AT Tp and a Lt Flak Tp attached from the Div support battalions. Again this reflects normal allocations.

So you should find it fine to order these battalions around without having to restructre all the time. However, you are at liberty to do so. So I suppose there is still scope for embarrassment, heh. ;)
