The addition of a third phase to the air & ground phases

Because of the way air recon is intertwined with the rest of the air directives in WitE 2, wouldn't it be better and more useful to first have an air recon phase, followed by an air combat operations phase and then finally the ground phase?

This way it would massively help with planning your air directives rather than just guessing where the enemy might be because you have no recon for that turn in that moment. I am not sure how difficult it would be to fork an extra air phase but I think it's worth considering.

This is an excellent idea for game play and I would think more realistic to a point. Getting into the weeds a bit, if say during the recon phase I ran recon on days 1 and 2, then during the air combat phase days 1 and 2 would be grayed out and my air combat assignments would be limited to days 3-7.

That said, one historical bit I'm not familiar with is the real time involved then from collection (day of recon) to interpretation to additional mission planning. Could these steps be completed within a day or day and half or, using my example above, would it be unrealistic to assign air combat missions as early as day 3? Perhaps day 3 would be grayed out as well and air combat assignments limited to days 4-7.

+100 with the idea of somehow being able to run air combat missions based on recon performed in the same turn.
