Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive as a campaign manager

Could Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive act as a campaign manager for Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg?
I've seen this referred to by various names: campaign management, two-level gaming, schizophrenic gaming, and operational-tactical gaming. The essence of it is that you would start a Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive campaign, play until contact occurred, resolve this using Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg, or some other tactical game, before returning to Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive. You'd then continue, alternating between the two games as appropriate.
It would take forever, but it would be a special form of heaven for Wacht am Rhein fans.
For it to work it would need to be possible to edit Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive's saved game files, or there would need to be an equivalent workaround.
