How to set starting value for Port

Hi Guys

Simple Question, but I can't find an answer, neither in the manual or forum.

How do I change / set the starting value for a Port?

for Example: in the 1939 Campaign, I would like to change to port value in Ajaccio from 5 to 6. How can I do that?

If the port belongs to a Minor with no direct connection by rail to a Major, then its ports' maximum strength will default to 5.

If it did have a rail connection to a Major then it could rise to its maximum strength, which defaults to 10.

By making Ajaccio either a Primary Supply Center or an Industrial Center, it would be able to reach its maximum strength. That would however be 10 rather than 6.

Thank you for your answer!

Hmm, I can't get this to work.

I made it a primary Supply Center, the value is still displayed as 5.

I then took another example because of railroad and road and tried to set Alexandria (and therefore it's ports?) to 10.

Unfortunately, that didn't work with the industrial center either.

May I ask again for help with this?

Even if you set a minor resource to a Primary Supply it will not exceed 5.

The only way for a resource of a minor to exceed 5 is if connects to a major powers primary supply source by rail and LOGISTICS tech has been increased.

Examples of this is look at areas that have been conquered by Germany as they progress. Then look at them later in the war as Logistics is improved.

If Ajaccio is part of France, then setting is as a Primary Supply Center should increases its value to 10 once you've hit save.

However, if it's part of Vichy France, which is a Minor, then it will maximise at 5.

I hope this helps explain it?

Ah, I didn't hit save. Stupid me. As soon as I did that, the value changed.

Thank you very much for your help! :)

If I can piggyback on this thread (vs. wasting bandwidth on a new one), how do you set resources (talking about mines and oil) to zero? No way to directly set them in the editor. I see scripts to activate them, but no scripts to DE-activate.

Aye, you can't deativate a resource.

What I do is use the supply.txt file to then deactivate the resource but that requires to write the event for the opposite side of the controller.
