We've come a long way from CMNAO

I still have CMNAO on Steam. I started it up just to see how it ran and what it looked like...

Moving from CMNAO to CMO is not a very hard task. But moving from CMO to CMNAO is a pain in the ass for me. There are so many things I take for granted in CMO that aren't in CMNAO. Best example is just the map movement. Its so much simpler and smoother in CMO...by far. That part makes it feel like a completely different game. All the features that have been added to CMO (1300.1) makes CMNAO feel very spartan and empty.

As far as how it runs; I decided to use the stock Op Brass Drum in both and benchmark them on the same PC. The PC is an i9-12900H with an RTX 3050ti. I ran CMNAO at 30 min to 1 sec and CMO at double flame.

CMNAO - about 60:1 ratio
CMO - about 90:1

Even with all the new CMO under the hood simulation and the more complex CMO Op Brass Drum, CMO completely outperformed CMNAO. I think its worth considering how much has been added, yet the performance improvements have more than compensated for the added compute load. Quite amazing by itself.

The UI in CMO just (as by design) looks so much better and cleaner.

I miss CMANO's color theme.

Night and day differences, especially getting the AI side to do smarter things.

What was the release date for CMANO? 2014 (cannot remember)? CMO was 2019. So pushing on to 10 years... impressive.
