Q: How did Japanese Opponent Run Out of Pilots?

My opponent quit in the summer of '44. He said he ran out of pilots.

He wasn't clear how he did that. He showed me how he had only about 10 left.

Ideas?

At the start of the next game-month he should receive some fresh pilots from the trainee pipeline for both the IJA and IJN. I would be curious as to what is losses are looking like.

So my guess is he accelerated all of them by putting pilots into the traning program meaning he ran out since he accelerated them for the next year plus what were the air losses and his pilot pools?

I vaguely recall it was a thing in the old versions of the game when numbers hit the upper short INT limit or something. Long fixed though

You can ask him to screenshot the school screen? Sometimes TRACOM accelerates different months unevenly and some months can end up with zero output

Yes, definitely check the training months to see what is in the pipeline....GP

Might want to look at pilot acceleration....

“It is not uncommon to find pilot accelerations cease for a few months
either completely or occur at a much reduced rate. When this happens one
sees a bulge in the pipeline followed by an anemic pipeline.
It is not always a benefit to have received pilot accelerations."
