I noticed in the 1944 campaign that Naha and Iowa Jima are fortified with supply, plus the IJ town is fortified. Any way to fortify towns or build supply fortress in the 1939 campaign?

The general rule is that towns, cities, resources, etc., can't be fortified by engineers during the course of a game. They can start a scenario that way, but no more can be constructed. Of course, there is the editor but both players would have to agree. The AI doesn't care though.

Maybe a DE could be added that whoever controls it could pay 50 MPP and get it added. I'm sure developers could add that. This would be super awesome ... siegried line could be formed, defence in depth on certain areas could be created in russia, or defending germans. Seriously should be looked into!

Never was sure why cities/towns couldn't be fortified by engineers in game. Yeah it should take a pretty long time and eat up some MPPs, but shouldn't prove too imbalancing if the investments are balanced correctly.

I like this idea, the Panther-Wotan line could be a DE after 1943 or the same for the Gustav and Gothic lines. For the Soviets maybe something like the Kursk forts as well.
