Has anyone on this board heard from Larry? He and I talk on the phone often and are involved in a PBEM game. But he is not answering the phone or my emails. Let me know please....GP

All the news about me dying recently are slightly inaccurate. I'm still above the grass but I did spend a week in the hospital psyc ward. My son Johsua died 13Dec2022 and I had a private lesson in dealing with the death of a loved one. He was my best friend in the whole world and now he's gone. And I didn't deal with it very well. So I called the suicide hot line and in about 5 minutes later the sheriff showed up at my door and gave me a ride to Banner hospital in downtown Tucson and I was given an environment where I could just live my life and not worry about a fucking thing. It was theraputic. My psychiatrist adjusted my meds and I feel a LOT better now. They offered to transfer me to the VA and I said no thanks. In my opinion the VA isn't a real hospital. Those MF's will kill you. Banner, it turns out, isn't much better.
At any rate, I'm home now, playing my wargames 16 hours a day as usual.....in short, I'm back in business.
I'd like to put in a good word about Dr. Brian Doctor of Ohio. He's my opponent in our WITP-AE game and I'm the Japs and we're in December of 1942, just when the tide of the war starts. He started this thread because he cares. He actually cares. This I know. I appreciate him more then any of you know. He's a model human being and I'm glad to know him. On the other hand, this wargame community is full of people like that and I'm glad to be a part of it. Thanks to Brian and thank you to all you guys too.

Many thanks to all you guys. It's guys like you guys that keeps me motivated and I appreciate that. The medical exaiminer said it would be six weeks before we would know the results of the autopsy. I asked him if we could ship the body to Mexico and get the results by tomorrow morning. He didn't think that was all that funny.

Thanks a lot you guys. I appreciate your postings and feel like I owe you guys a favor now. Maybe I should do another AAR to show how much I appreciate you all.
Which game would you like to see?

Hey Larry, sorry your son passed. It's tough when someone you are so very close is gone. Not like they went to another state. We lost our oldest son Patrick in March last year to colon cancer. Even though you know they are dying it's not real till it happens. The wife took it harder than me. She was where you were but she's much better now. Your kids are supposed to put you into the ground, not the other way around.
