Game crashes when I click folder in New Game

I tried to start up a new scenario, but when I clicked on folder, I instantly got a "System cannot find the path specified" error, followed by another error popup to where my My Documents/My Games/TOAW4 is supposed to be followed by a bunch of gibbrish. And then the game crashes. Is there anything I can do about this?

Make sure you're updated to the latest version.

I downloaded the Steam version of the game, so I am uppdated to the latest version.

according to your log you were not updated.
but if I was in this situation I'd re-install the game after making sure to backup anything of value.
