Just bought this scenario, its pretty good.
The Brits have an airbase in Oman which is not in this scenario. Would of been perfect for AWACS support
Just saying

Britain doesn't currently have fixed-wing AWACS. Can't remember when the scenario is set but the E-3 was retired in 2021.
I felt the scenario wasn't quite good enough for a paid DLC. I enjoyed it, but it's basically on par with a good community pack scenario.

2018? That’s interesting, since the Elizabeth didn’t enter service until 2020, and Britain certainly didn’t have enough F-35s to fill a deck back then!
In any case I think it’s fair to exclude the AWACS as the scenario is easy enough as-is, and it’s plausible that early retirement of the E-3 could have happened in this alternate timeline!

Fictional, but not so much, I think.
According to the operational history,
Westlant 18 happened in Autumn 2018 with the first (american) F-35B tests.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Queen_Elizabeth_(R08)
Also
The first F-35 squadron, 617 Sqn ‘Dambusters’, arrived at RAF Marham with their first four aircraft in June 2018.
https://www.f35.com/f35/global-enterpri ... ngdom.html
And the scenario description,
...rushed the brand-new carrier Queen Elizabeth and its air-wing of F-35s into service.
Anyway as it is not a historical scenario, you may put a resurrected Nelson commanding the group

Very easy from The UK/Ind side
Just need a single f35 as a mini intel/awacs off the coast, and the RN Sub with tomahawks.
Boom bang
game over
Quite enjoyed it though
