System slows down while browsing for scenario

Hello and Happy New Year, everyone.
Anybody else having system slow-downs after browsing up and down the scenario menu? Unless I pick a scenario quickly, I'm not even able to start a game because my system slows to a crawl. This keeps happening if I scroll all the way to the end of the scenario list and start browsing up and back down.
