Hi everyone. The manual has had some fixes. But if anyone has noticed any problems, issues that need to be addressed, please post them here. The next beta update will be out soon and I want to finalize the manual. The "S's" for section have been fixed along with a few other things....GP

6.1.3 ship information screen

capacity is specified as XXX/xx but xx has different meanings for carrier and transport ships.
It could be fine to specify that; here? ...... or maybe under 6.3.2.2 Ship Capacity Types??

6.5.2 Home Base for Refit/Repairs

When the Production option is turned off and a partial map is being used, each nationality will have a Home Base
automatically assigned that the ship travels to when traveling off map:

(What it means? Maybe could be better specified?)

● Australian goes to Sydney
● New Zealand goes to Auckland
● Japanese goes to Osaka/Kobe
● US types, China and Philippines goes to Pearl Harbor
● Soviet Union goes to Murmansk
● Other Allied nationalities goes to England

The manual on MY COMPUTER is dated 7/31/22. Given the date that will not be the latest. The question is simple and should have a simple answer, where do I download the latest manual from?

I'm in the same boat as Chris21wen. There seems to be a piece of the puzzle missing for us that is know to most. It sounds to me like the new manual won't be available until a new full game download comes out. Is that how it works?

I downloaded existing installer, and it installs the previous version of the manual (from last year). So, yes, it appears the newest version of the manual awaits the next installer.

Based on this, what a utter waste of time this thread is. The post could have waited until the new beta was released.

I disagree. If you see any errors in the manual, report them now so they can be fixed before the new manual is released. Or like they say, forever hold your peace which means don't complain later about any errors that could have been fixed.

16.3.1.2.2 Method of Pilot Assignment
This control indicates whether pilots are automatically or manually assigned to the group based on the previous ‘Type of pilot assigned’. The ‘Manual’
method basically puts control of the pilot assignment under the player’s control and is the equivalent to the ‘No replacements’ for aircraft control. As
such, ‘No replacements’ now only stops planes from being automatically replaced. Pilots will now be available based on this new control rather than the
plane replacement setting. The start setting of this control is also governed by the ‘no replacements at start’ switch in the same manner as planes.

Is incorrect. The 'Manual' setting generates new pilots and randomly puts pilots into American fighter squadron units, whether or not the air unit needs them. This setting may also generate new pilots for other units, more research is needed.
