I don't know if you have seen this before, or not. Came up while I was trying to attach artillery in direct support. I haven't run a turn yet. Still setting up.

WABAC, I downloaded your saved game but could not produce the bug. Can you describe exactly what you did that triggered the bug that could be helpful.

Well. As I said, I was trying to set the artillery to direct support to the battalion. So I clicked on "provide direct support to" button, and then clicked on the battalion HQ I wanted it to support. That didn't work the first time. So I clicked on it again trying to remember the right way to do it. And it happened along in there somewhere.

This is a function I have always had trouble doing the right way. So the best thing I can tell you is to try and reassign the artillery the wrong way. Today I went back to the save I uploaded to see if I could recreate the error. I could not. On the other hand, I couldn't order the artillery to fire a smoke mission either. This is the will-o-the-wisp phantom commit button issue that only I seem to have. And on my new computer to boot.

I will see what mysteries I can wreak when I restart the scenario from scratch.

The new update should be out real soon. Once it is, test and see if it is still causing the issue with confirming your smoke missions.
