Hi,
Having some issues trying to get DWXnd work. Followed the guide (I think) but when I try to run it the 'stuka' symbol in the DWX run bow is a empty gray silhouette .... So any thoughts on whay I'm doing wrong?

Cheers,
AKL

What happens when you double click the stuka icon in dxwnd?

If it does nothing, make sure the path is pointing to the btr.exe in the correct directory.

Hi Simovitch,

Got it working but is it still supposed to have that 'stretched' look (horizontally) and a little fuzzier than when playing in windows mode on the screen?

Many Thanks,

AKL

AKL, it should not be stretched and fuzzy, it should fill your screen vertically and have black borders on either side horizontally. See my post on page 3 of the "dxwnd made easy" thread for a screenshot of the game on my 42" monitor and some settings tips.

I assume you loaded the EDBTR.dxw that came with the patch? what version of dxwnd are you using? Don't give up, I'm happy to help. :)

Hi Simovitch,

Thank you for the response and support. I think I'll have to try the whole process again as it is still stretched and fuzzy. I'll let you know how it goes. I have done all the steps you noted so must have done something wrong. I will persist and let you know; many thanks for the support.

Cheers,

AKL

OK I downloaded the latest version of DXWnd and created a shortcut for dxwnd.exe to my desktop.
Then I opened DXWnd and File/imported the EDBTR.dxw file from the patch. When I started it, I get the fuzzy stretched view mentioned above.
So, on the "Main" tab I clicked on "run in window" and in the "DirectX" tab I checked on "full bilinear filter"
It also helped clear up some fuzzy text by turning vsync on in the "DirectX(2)" tab.

This fixes the stretch and cleans up the fuzzy.
