Can't Download patches

Got a new job out of town and have to use an old slow computer with no UV installed on it. I loaded up version 1.0 and tried to load version 2.0 but I got "Page cannot be displayed" page. I then went to Spooky's site but I got "Action cancelled" page. What can I do? I have 5 games I need to continue.:(

How?

Drex - how are you trying to download the patches, true update or via the Matrix download page? When I had to get UV onto a 'work' PC at work I found true update didn't work but the download page did. Can't remember if I started from patch 2.0 or had to go all the way back. I've gotten UV to run on some fairly old PCs so that shouldn't be the problem. BTW - there's a new turn in your inbox.....:p

I've tried both true update, and the Matrix download page with same result.

I have also been having no luck in trying to download any of the patches I need (2.10, 2.11, 2.20, 2.30).

I have tried true upload and this and other sites to finish this task. I am just going to keep checking the boards here and keep trying.

Good luck to all.

cannot download patch either

It would appear that their FTP server (ftp.matrixgames.com) is not working. All the various methods pull the files from that location so they all need it to be working...

edit

Correction: I do have 2.00, just was searching for uvpatch200 instead of uvpatch20 hahah, read your PM Drex, has instructions if you still need

Yes I go your PM Mr. Frag hanks. However, I get "can't set screen mode" error message so I can't even get version 1.0 to play!

You do have DirectX installed on this old clunker right? That sounds very much like a problem kicking the game into D3D mode.

Standard rules. Re-install DirectX then Re-install your video driver.

I have been able to get 2.20 and 2.30 downloaded...... but can not find a functioning download for 2.10 or 2.11, and I understand I need them first.

UPDATE

The downloads now appear to be working ....
