Just, in time.
Simulation had serious glitches and I was thinking that the number of units (4000+) and my computer CPU capicity were resposible for these.
I was thinking to reduce drastically the number of units in the scenario
At that time a message in discord from Dimitris arrived talking about a new update.
Good job guys.Even on Sunday you keep improving the sim.
The sim is now running extremely smoothly
Well Done

2 times the performance compared to 1307.6, I wonder how it was done.

But still running about 5 minutes per second. (about 340x, for comparation, 1307.5 running about 50-60x)

I think this may be the best performance in the realm of possibility, so I hope the new skyline feature can be an optional scenario feature.

Quick question - can I apply this to a 1307.4 install without going through 1307.5 and 1307.6 first?

TIA

It will work with Steam, but you have to manually apply it like you would the non-steam version.

I'm confused - I have the Steam beta installed and my build version is v1.05 - Build 1315.1. How can I have a later version than what's being discussed in this thread? I suspect I don't and I've mistaken.

I did miss that, thank you.

So if my (limited) understanding is correct then my Steam install could have 3 options:

1. the stable version (whatever build number that is) published by Steam.
2. beta 1307.7, by manually installing the exe/files from the 7z file linked above on top of the Steam stable version.
3. the newest beta 1315.1, which is what I've currently got installed on Steam (having enabled the beta opt-in option).

So if I wanted to have (2) I need to opt-out of the Steam beta and then install the build files manually.

Does that all sound correct?

No, there are two branchs. Stable that now is 1307.8 and beta that is 1315.1

Right ho, I can see what's happened. I got received an email today saying 'new reply to this thread' that I hadn't seen, and I thought, ooh new beta 1307.7. And I saw it was at the top of the non-pinned threads, but missed the 1315.1 pinned thread above that. So now I understand with your help, thanks!

A slight nitpick on builds.

1307 - The publication of the "tiny" update to stable release.

1307.5 - Stable release update for 1307 release hosted on Matrix Games Mypage for those who are risk averse.

1307.7 and 1307.08 - Public betas for the release update 1307.5 for those who aren't risk averse to finding a few issues here and there.

1315.1 - 64-bit beta for those players that aren't squeamish about potential issues bigger than your average bug.

If you struggle juggling the versions or find yourself frustrated with constant changes, stick with 1307 or 1307.5.
