Maybe I missed something but I thought the carrying capability of the Huey's were one to one, but I am seeing that it's closer to 1 Huey SP for every 2 SP of the infantry Platoons in most of the scenarios.

The issue I have is when the UH-1's lose ships is there a way to know exactly how many SP's they can carry or does it vary by platoon type etc? I don't see anything in the unit info box that shows any information. I also haven't come across any larger helicopters in later scenarios so wasn't sure if they had increased capability and if it was documented somewhere?

Also is it possible to merge UH-1 units? So far I haven't had any luck trying that. I had one UH1 unit down to 1SP and it seemed he just was unusable at that point, vs if the SP could be added to another unit.

Huey's can carry 2 to 1 of infantry class units.

A 1 SP Huey can carry a 2 SP infantry unit or 2SP MMG, etc.

You can merge Huey's with other Huey's (they need to be in the same organization AND had started at the same SP strength (4SP for example).

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to see the carrying capability of the larger helicopters such as the CH-47's somewhere in the unit info? I see the manual talks about trucks as far as medium or large but nothing I can find about helicopters.

Right now (although this will change in the future as we develop more carrying flags), the Huey's and Chinooks can basically carry the same things.

The chinooks also have a 2 to 1 carry ability of infantry classes.

But, for 105mm batteries or other types of vehicular units, it is 1 to 1.

So a 6SP 105mm battery would need a 6SP Chinook to carry it (basically 1 gun per helicopter).

It would be nice and practical if say a 6 Chinook wasnt limited to one unit no matter its SP, in short if helos could load to capacity eve if it means more than 1 unit....

It would be nice, sure, but unlikely due to limitations within the game system.
