I've had this game for a while and decided to pull it out of mothballs. Had too, since I reset my Alienware X17R1, I can't get the mouse scrolling to function smoothly in WitPAE.
I have been playing the Solomons '42 scenario at historical settings to learn and have been making good progress...I thought.
My latest restart had the 'Canal won by September. Three enemy transports were approaching SW. At least that's what the recon indicated at one hex away. I dispatched a sub, a DD fleet and even peeled off BB's, CA's & DD's from my carrier task force. Not one bloody hit let alone a sinking, after multiple salvos taken. Yes, I'm crying the blues here.
On top of this I can't find the "Combat Log" screen mentioned briefly in the manual.

What I really want is the scrolling to work in WitPAE. I still want to learn to play this game too!

Thanks for your ear...I'm all ears too if you have any suggestions.

I'm not following what your question is.....

But the combat logs are the 6th button on the menu top row from the left.

Current = this turn's combat you made
Last = previous enemy move combat
Losses are for the current turn
