In a human vs. human game how can this group be used. Should it just be sent to other theatres so that they don't attract supplies or is there a practical use for them. Obviously, strategic bombing but does that have much if any affect and I assume their losses would be horrendous.

Yes you can, and there are different ways how. Linear bombers are not strategic bombers. They are helpful. Yes, their losses are high and difficult to replenish.

The answer to the question: "How to use?"
Using hands and head.

In order to understand how to use aviation, I advise everyone who wishes to familiarize themselves first of all with such a military, doctrinal concept as: "Conquest of air supremacy"

It contains most of the answers to how aviation is used, what types of aviation and how it is built into this system.

Which planes are responsible for what.

Without this knowledge, any use of aviation is associated with its useless use without reaching any goals and a large number of losses.
