I'm just curious how does this differ to the CM Battle for Normandy with all the expansions bought directly from Battlefront in 2021. Is this an upgrade or the same release under the Matrix Umbrella?

Yes, that is my question also. I own the original game and all of the DLCs and got them from battlefront. The game does look better for sure, but is it also been changed in the game play.

It is the same game. Now it is available via Matrix and Steam.

If you already bought it via BFC you can get Steam keys for it. I have not done that but you can find directions on here or at the BFC forum pages.
