Hello.

I'm about 50% through a German Long Campaign.

I started with towed 88's / SdKfz 7 as part of my core force and, in mid 1942 (Stalingrad, amirite?), I'd like to upgrade them to something different.

I can upgrade the guns to Sturer Emil (or similar) but I'm struggling to figure out how to upgrade the halftracks to something else.

I'd like to turn them into Stugs or Sturmpanzers but I seem stuck with 251/9 and similar.

Any ideas, or am I screwed?

Ummmmm, after a battle you will come to a Fix and/or Replace screen.
This is where you can upgrade.
Pro Tip: once you have fixed and replaced everything to your liking, Always mash that (I think it's called???) Repair All button. That will go through all your units, and will fix minor damages not noted on the screen we're talking about.

addendum: Always keep in mind to replace like for like. By that I mean an Inf unit with another Inf unit / or truck to tank. The reason being is that the original skill ratings will apply to your new unit. Then it takes a hella long time to make that right.

Since then I've taken breaks and mostly played the free download versions off and on.

I finally bought the current download version about 6 months ago.

My problem is I can't remember if there's an upgrade path to turn my SdKfz 7 tow rigs into a StuH / StuG and I don't want to have to start multiple campaigns in mid '42 to figure it out.
