Hi
Could someone please explain what is the max supply stated in some bases in Burma, and what are the practical consequences of that ?

32000 is the max amount of supply the base can have without suffering spoilage. If you go over that then the base will have supply disappear to spoilage each day. To increase the max number, improve either the airfield or port sizes of the base with your engineers. Eventually a large enough base will have no limit to max supply and can hold any amount without spoilage.

If you mean the max number in parenthesis, I think it has to do with how much supply can move to/from the base in the supply move phase. In other words even if you are calling for 25000 at the base, the most it can go up is 750. And based on the terrain the supply only moves once a week or something at bases like this. Used to have a chart for all the limited bases, but can't find it, perhaps someone else will link to it.

The base size needed to have unlimited storage is 9 (combined AF+Port). Base size also influences how often replacement devices come in. Besides terrain, roads, railroads and paths affect supply flow.

Alfred's treatise on replacement is Post 10 in this thread: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 5#p3554365

If it's about Supply (max 750) then good question. Nothing in manual nor in change log that I can see. Probably something to do with how much the base can either send out or receive in a turn but that's a quess but not all bases have this?

Note that building forts will also increase supply flow.

Yes...About Monsoon.

The supply cap is the maximum supply that a base can receive in one day from supply movement
(Meaning for example that airlifts, sea-lifts, etc. do not count toward the cap)

The supply cap number shown beside it in the Editor is a factor to be multiplied by the port size,
airfield size and fortification level added together. In the game, the number shown on the
Base screen is the max supply cap during the dry season. It would be half that during Monsoon.

Monsoon slows down land supply movement.

Some bases in the Burma Area (Monsoon Area) have a supply cap shown
beside the supply. For Bangkok Supply (max 8000)
(See the base screen for Bangkok shown below)

In the game, the number shown on the base screen is the max supply cap during the dry season.
It would be half that during Monsoon. Monsoon season is May 15 to Oct 15.

The supply cap is the maximum supply that a base can receive in one day from supply
Land movement (airlifts, sea-lifts, etc. do not count towards the cap)

This is also shows in the editor as ME. The ME means Monsoon Effect.
The supply cap number shown beside it in the Editor is a factor to be multiplied
by the port size, airfield size and fortification level added together.

Scroll down to the 2 posts by Skyros…..Added by Beta Patch 1108q9...Monsoon….

So….Bangkok during the dry season would have 1000 x (P+A+F) = X (To Max of 8,000)
The (P+A+F) is coded into the base attribute so it cannot exceed the number 8 in Bangkok.

During Monsoon season (May 15 to Oct 15) the game code makes the factor half what is shown
in the Editor. Bangkok would have 500 x (P+A+F) = X (To Max of 4,000)
Because the (P+A+F) is hard coded to not exceed the number 8 in Bangkok.

If you look at the supply cap for bases in Burma you can see that during Monsoon season
daily supply movement to bases overland gets brutal.

If you have heavy operations going on you want to consider airlift if you have it.
Build up your airfields and fortifications if you can, that will help.

A player can’t use the Editor in the “normal way” to make the Monsoon more severe without
hurting the Base supply cap during the dry season.
The only way would be to edit the code that cuts it in half.

There is no need to thank me.

I’m always standing on the shoulders of the truly outstanding
Developers and veteran players who taught me over the years.

I’m just able to find their footprints in the sands of time.
Also, it seems that I have been around this game and this Forum
longer than Moses…..which helps a lot.

In this case it was Michaelm, Alfred and Skyros.

I have called out some of the other Devs and players who taught me.

Here are only a few of my very early teachers:

Michaelm, jwilkerson, Don Bowen, Alfred, Mike Solli, PaxMondo, John 3rd, floydg (Floyd and Damian),
Sardaukar, Bullwinkle58, USS America, DivePac88, Halsey, Andy Mac, Big B, Andrew Brown,
Grafin Zeppelin, GreyJoy, Obvert, AW1Steve, wdolson, Symon, Canoerebel, LoBaron,
Crsutton, Chickenboy, dr.hal, Terminus, TheElf

Many more….Kull, Mike Solli, Q-Ball, jdsrae, Numdydar, Hanzberger…..on and on...

Too many to list…..Many I’ve left out here…….How do I say thanks?….nothing is adequate..

Who was this Guy?…..
