No, I meant the brownish ring of the planet in the background in the last pic from above !
Also: I don't have green symbolized weapons-ranges (in the foreground in the same pic) in my games (?)

Yes, its the weapon range of the ships. The color is changed because its for people with color problems.

Yes, you are right, it does look really nice ! - seems like the engine still can handle it perfectly.
But is this a combination with your other mod with the bigger moons and planets, too - or are the planets looking much bigger, only because of the down-scale of the ships (and the nearer zoom)
But anyway, I think that this could interest many other gamers/modders, too - so, it might not be a bad idea to put it on the Steam-wokshop and in its forum, too, I think.

This mod is able to be used as a stand alone mod that is not changing the scale of the orbit.
I combine all of my mods and they do not interfere.
When the scale mod works, you can even see it at the start screen - the base is much smaller.
Additionally you can use my orbitTyoe Mod (GalaxyMod).
I will upload it right now, it has the best distances and changes only planetary moon sizes and their orbit.
Look inside the link below and use both or one of them alone.
I use all mods and they work good together (while the shorter text has some flaws in the new beta, because in the settigns some text was added, but it works nonetheless).
So:

textMod
hullMod

regarding uploading to steam, this is a thing I will try to find out later.
I have a gog version.
I have steam. But I do not have DW2 on steam...
so how will I be able to upload a mod to a game that I do not have on steam?!

Well, I only own a GOG-version, too, but I nervertheless can install the Game on Steam and can also (at least) download the mods from the Workshop.
(This is posible, because I gifted my son with the game on the Matrix-store and he now owns it on Steam, too - and I can play/use mods via the family-library in Steam.

)
So, I haven't tried it yet, but if you provide me with the needed files I could try to upload it for you on Steam (or when it's not possible for me, I could finally pass it to my son, who certainly will be able to upload it.)

I really enjoy the smaller size. It may be too much to write, but I was curious what you change to adjust scale. I would like to adjust the scales to 0.5 or 0.4. I find that the 0.1 is nice, but a bit too small for my older eyes.

Well, I loaded all ShipHull*.xml into notpad++ and then replaced all occurrences saying:
0</DisplaySize>
with
</DisplaySize>
therefore
a
<DisplaySize>200</DisplaySize>
was changed to
<DisplaySize>20</DisplaySize>
.
If you want to make it a "bit" smaller or larger, I have no clue

Another banger, my only request is that would it be possible to have weapons and other projectiles follow the same philosophy. Currently missiles are the same size as Escorts.

Do you have an idea where those weapons/rockets could be located? I fear it is inside the bundle.
If I could change it, I would.

Hello! I really like your mod for reducing the size of ships and reducing the size of weapon effects. Subsequently, I made my own mod - I also changed the sizes of the ships, but not 10 times, but 4 times. But I didn’t quite understand how to change the effects of gun shots.
Now a new add-on has been released, accordingly, shiphulls have changed to vanilla. That's why I'm now going to start making a mod for reducing the size of ships again. If it's not too much trouble for you, could you update the mod to reduce the size of gun effects for the latest patch?

hello, sorry that i answer this late - i was not aware about your new post.
since the game is not played by me that recently for so many patches and because they break all our mods again and again, I do not change it right now..
the size of the shots is somehow divided in x, y and z length if i remember correct. some work different than others. some use one directions, others use z instead of y if i remember correctly.
you will see the effect instantly so you have to try a bit.
