I use SOP, in order for the infantry to dismount 2 hex from the spotted enemy. Despite this, when the ifv is destroyed, the infantry is destroyed automatically. Is this how it should work?

dimlet, do you have a save game showing this behavior? If the infantry is dismounted, a direct fire hit on the carrier should not take out the dismounted infantry. If it was indirect/artillery fire (rockets, mortars, field guns) hitting the unit, both could be lost depending on the number of rounds hitting the hex.

Attached a campaign save. I wish it could help. In the north part of the map you can see 2 mech units. They must dismount in 2 hexes from destination points. They do so, but then they start to sustain looses from direct atgm fire. Looses include ifv and infantry. Sorry for my english.

Ive just noticed this as well, I had some Mephisto ATGMs take out 2 BMPs, the soviet unit icon had the L in the top left corner so I believe they where dismounted and on foot, when the BMPs where destroyed the 2 INf squads where killed as well...

Is this the same bug as in this thread?

Could this bug be part of the subunits not firing bug? Could the INF still be in the APCs even although it says on the unit counter they are dismounted and on foot, I could be wrong but its worth a check

We can reproduce the problem using dimlet's save, and are looking into it.
From the sound of it, lowlaner2012's problem with the Mephisto's taking out infantry squads likely is the same issue.
