Please add, localized EMP blackout effects on cities & country sides (cities etc. would go black after an attack) Selectable live missile "alt/speed/time to target" data and Offset zoomable, Globe viewing setting options ( for an more closer view of an launch at Earth's curvature ). Last update made all of the other selections work perfectly. Great Work :ugeek:

EMP isn't what you think it is.

A lot of EMP is localized to the region of the target -- for example induced EMP ceases to become a major factor in weapons effects at about the same distance the thermal pulse sets things on fire.

SREE (High Altitude EMP) is a moderately hard problem. It won't affect densely populated areas, like NYC or Moscow, because power line runs are short and constantly broken by fuses, so there's no chance to build up large voltages over power line runs.

In the middle of nowhere like Siberia or Kansas, where you may have hundreds of miles of powerlines running in a single contiguous block; SREE induced EMP via line voltage becomes a problem; but this can be managed by careful fuse placement in your electric power system. However, that presupposes someone is there to reset the fuse, something not always easy in the 1960s or so...
