Logistics flow control at intersections

On the top you choose which kind of logistic flow your input should affect. Currently it will affect all 3 types. On the left you have the option to reduce the logistics flow to the left. If you want to increase it then you can also assign custom pull point on a hew of your choice which is the option that you cut on your screenshot, you may want to use preview points to see the effects of your changes beforehand.

I believe I have a good grasp of the traffic signs tool except for the custom pull points, I'll get back to those later, but it does not allow me to control direction of incoming logistics as to which outgoing route to take.

Should the configuration not need to be done in pairs of in and out flows? Their are many potential directions on the HEX for a given from road or rail: five. Having only one configuration for an outgoing flow prevents the ability to configure which of the five incoming flows it is configuring as it affects all of them.

How does assigning a custom pull volume for a HEX have anything to do with logistics direction (from road/rail to road/rail)?

In order for strategic movement on the next turn to be available the logistics flow volumes need to be potentialized based on what I understand how the game enables strategic movement. So I get that being able to configure volume capacity is an important configuration. What my main point is, is that the tool is inadequate in being able to properly assign flow direction when there are intersections involved, unless I am missing something.

Yes, I find the effects of the road signs very unintuitive and as a result unpredictable. I always end up iteratively clicking control percentages and observing the result until it is about what I want.

Also, I do have a follow up question for the opening post.
For my question, pretend the hex shown above also had a rail connection exiting to the southeast hexside.
In that case, if I only wanted to reduce road logistics to the southeast, leaving rail at 100%, how would I do it?

Personally I always:
- unselect Pull Points being affected. You never want pull points affected.
- set the blockage to 100%

That way only mandatory pull points are moved that direction.

Sure.

I understand the theory of work with what is available in the spirit of giving floor cleaners a tooth brush :D.

The other thing is seeing as there are two kinds of logistic mediums and no interoperability between them, the roads and the rails, there also needs to be a way to define throughput per medium on each direction open for logistics as well as a maximum pull. So for each of the 6 'in HEX flows' there could be five directional flow controls for each medium present being one or two resulting in a potential of sixty flow direction definitions per HEXs with Logistical Intersections.
