A new batch of questions

Hi,
As I continue to play through my first pbem game with a friend, I discover new questions. If someone has a moment to respond I would be grateful.
1.
Concerning DE 112 – UK: Send Elements Of The Royal Navy To The Pacific?: I presume these are new free units. What units exactly does the UK receive? And when they "Elements of the Royal Navy will deploy in the Pacific Theater in ports around India from late 1941-1943" does that mean that these units appear all at once at some random time between 41-43?
2.
If Japan seizes the Communist capital in the mountains up North, do the Chinese commies immediately capitulate and all units are removed from the map?
3.
Yugoslavia. It is now October 41 and Yugoslavia is 45% axis. I know there is an event in May 41 for an allied coup and in preparation for this I stationed valuable units which could have been put on the Russian front to respond. But nothing has happened yet, even though if I read the rules correctly there is a 50% chance of Allied coup per turn. Surely the dice gods have not punished me 8 turns in a row...Am I waiting for Godot? Will the event ever trigger now? Or can I just leave Yugo neutral? (I do not want to mobilise the USA further...).
4.
Not really a question, more of a whine.... I have launched Barbarossa with all panzers built out and I thought enough infantry....but there are sooo many russian units, I have already lost my steam on all fronts because I simply do not have enough infantry armies (and divisions) to make the difference and plug the holes. Now I'm building as many as I can per turn but too late. Any thoughts for a future game on how many infantry units you need to do Barbarossa?
5.
An observation: I am discovering the merits of long range aircraft -3. Wow ! in the Pacific, this really changes things. You can practically launch pearl harbour with the help of Maritime Bombers!
Thanks in advance for any help.

2.
No
3.
Currently bugged
4.
Hmm ...
I've never bought a single infantery unit for Barbarossa, I usually go for tanks and bombers.
5.
Just wait till you discover the scouting options due to increased vision range.
A few random fun things to do with high range:
Axis:
Air raid UK convoys from France.
Sink ships in Scapa Flow.
Bomb Indian oil wells from southern China.
Bomb Murmansk/Archangelsk harbor and kill the Arctic convoy.
Allies:
Air raid the Sweden convoy.
Bomb Oslo/Hamburg/Stettin harbor to kill/redirect the convoys.
Bomb Batavia harbor from Australia and kill the DEI convoy.
Disrupt German supply in Russia with American stratbombers from Persia/Iraq.
And quite a few more. Air range is imho one of the most powerful techs in the game.

Concerning the Yugoslavian bug, what exactly is the situation?
I'm in November 28th 1941, Yugo is neutral, 45% axis.
Will the game just freeze like this?
Will it mysteriously become Allied?
What if I influence it to 100%, will there be an Allied coup?
If either of these things last two happen I'm up X creek without a paddle....

(I never thought of bombing murmansk with long range bombers. Unfortunately while Japan is at 3, Axis still stuck at 1.... but great ideas indeed.

The script that should have fired, will not, however you (and your opponent) can still use diplomacy to attempt to bring it into the war on one side or the other.

What kind of bomber are you using to attack Murmansk/Archangelsk and where are you basing it?

So if this is a bug, when will it be fixed?

Stratbomber from Finland. Archangelsk can also be hit from the Baltic with some range tech.
A stratbomber is also really good for taking Murmansk:
Put one unit next to its harbor to negate its supply and bomb both Murmansk and the next town down the railway with the stratbomber. Unless the Russians can spare HQs for a supply chain, all resistance will soon collapse.

In the forthcoming patch... fairly soon.

Many thanks Bill!
Took a hiatus from the game for awhile, and it's about time I took it up again!
Cheers,
C
