My opponent and I have played quite a few Ardennes PBEMs and decided to take a break and try Case Blue. Very interesting comparing the two games. Case Blue is regimental vs Ardennes battalion scale which is a significant difference but in general the game mechanisms are very similar. Combat, supply, cards are all there in Case Blue but with nice incremental improvements in Ardennes. Although Ardennes is head and shoulder improved in terms of graphics and unit interface. Still the game play feels very similar. Case Blue does have political objectives which provides an interesting impact on game strategy and also has special rules to reflect the Rus problems with coordination and command control. Case Blue is a very good game and it would be very nice to see a Case Blue 2.0 implementing all the Ardennes improvements. I also noticed some people are still playing Case Blue in PBEM+++.

I would like to see Warsaw to Paris and Case Blue with the upgraded graphics used in Ardennes.

I would be very happy if the cumbersome movement mechanics were updated to those of Ardennes...

I played Ardennes first for a few months, now trying out Case Blue, but it feels clumsy compared. If it was upgraded to match Ardennes, that would be a good thing.
