**Apologies should be CVL designation not CV, but I guess we have to wait and see what the JMSDF decides to designate the Izumo as, if she remains DDH or becomes CVL or other**

The Izumo is undergoing upgrades to become a CVL, with the USMC currently operating F-35B Lightning II (not for deployment) on the Izumo, the JASDF should deliver F-35B's by about 2024 (six), the JASDFD will operate the F-35's on Izumo and Kaga.

Update Changes
- Set CVL 183 to Group Lead
- Added (JASDF) to F-35B Lightning II (they will be flying them NOT JMSDF) ...as below
- Reduced F-35B Lightning II (JASDF) to six as per estimated delivery 2024 (set scenario to 2024 at the minimum or alternatively 2025 and add another two)


F-35B Upgrades Near Completion Aboard Japanese Warship Kaga
"The Japan Air Self-Defense Force will operate the F-35Bs that will go aboard the Izumo class. First, six aircraft will deploy in FY 2024 and two in FY 2025 for a final total of 42 aircraft".
