1307.14 Aegis Ashore does not detect a missile as it should IRL

Hi Guys,
Just tested a ballistic missile trajectory of a possible early ICBM from Iran. I tried SS-9 (5500 nm range) and launched it at maximum distance to make the trajectory as flat as possible.
It should be within detection capabilities of Aegis Ashore Radar in Redzikowo, Poland.
Trajectory seems more or less OK (apogee 1200 km, napkin calculations). Also supported by Wikipedia and this article.

Especially this graph:
However the detection does not happen. Would you mind investigating that ?
Scenario attached, when missile is near Aegis Ashore (visible when Iran side is selected, missile is not detected when USA is selected).

Still happens in 1328.8.

Hello, it seems that the .save is corrupted since the scen doesn't run when I hit start.
Regarding the ICBM's detection issue, it is one of the most complex things and delegating everything to a couple of radars does not seem the best option. In real life a complex system of sensors is used to detect ICBM launches. In CMO my advice is to use satellites, the RC-135S cobra ball and radars like FPS-115 PAWS, Globus, BMEWS...

Attached another save.
My main problem with original scenario with just Aegis Ashore in Poland was that it stated purpose is to intercept ballistic missiles from Iran targeting mainland US. The radar was not detecting them. It's stated range is 175nm against targets with large RCS which well does not work well with things flying 1200 km above it and having small RCS). So I was wondering if there is something not advertised in a DB viewer regarding ABM/space search.
I followed your advice. I added all known US early warning satellites and ABM radars (2022 data from CMO). I added Norwegian GLOBUS as well and put Cobra Ball on patrol in Poland.
Few observations:
1. Orientation of Aegis Ashore in Poland is a bit suspicious compared with satellite photos, but I guess that does not change the picture too much.
2. ICBMs get detected by SATs and when they reach certain attitude by radars either in Qatar and in Turkey. They are also being tracked by various ABM radars (GLOBUS, UK etc.).
3. Cobra Ball detects them as well when they are within detection range.
4. Aegis Ashore launches missiles approx 2 mins from missile launch / detection. Is it not too early as it is still a boost phase ?
5 The datalink send range is 160 nm but it provides updates at much longer range (missile itself has 1400nm datalink receive range). Is it perhaps a typo/problem? The datalink is broken after missiles travel for 500 nm from Aegis Ashore.
6. What does provide data for a course correction if Aegis Radar does not track the ICBM ? Accuracy of other radars working in B band can not be that good, so is it a radar in Turkey? If it is Aegis Ashore then it is not visible in the detection list in the right window.
7. Missiles always miss though their position is pretty close to ICBMs. But altitude differs by 300 Km or so.
8. Trajectory of interceptor missiles is off compared to the above diagram, attempt at interception is done too far away.
9. ICBM trajectory may boo too high.
10. Aegis Ashore never detects ICBMs using it's own radar unless missiles are targeting it, but in that case detection range is 70 nm or so and the intercept is not possible (ICBM is too low).
11. Sometimes by playing with various ICBMs Romanian Aegis Ashore launches missiles but they miss by a lot in terms of altitude (similar to attempts from Poland).
So something is off compared to real life or I am missing something. Maybe it is worth investigating for potential bugs or setting right expectations if RL behavior is not feasible.

Hi Laro,
There were some corrections regarding Anti Ballistic Missiles in the last version 1328.9 but it's a complex issue involving many factors so strange things may still be happening.

Is this still an issue with B1328.14 ?
