Yes! You can have the AI design a ship for you, and you can then use the design 'as it' or tweak it to your liking.

And how much is this feature improved from RTW2? Are pictures I can see in AARs here designed by AI only?

In my AAR, this set of (opponent) ships is wholly designed by the AI



On my side, there's a mix of wholly AI designs, the earlier smaller vessels from my legacy fleet, and newer designs that I modified from the autogenerator

Those ships look really good. Thanks for putting this together and sharing!
