Help with Northern Fury #10 Eisenhower moves north

I'm not a novice, but somewhat new to this game (I look for the yellow level scenarios). What am I missing with Eisenhower moves north? I have run the CVBG at 25 kts and can't get close to launching a strike . Is the point just about the ASW battles here?
