Problem with Air Interdiction

I have not noticed getting any benefit at all from Ground Attack missions for interdiction. I run heavy interdictions, and the opponent doesn't seem slowed at all. I've run some tests, including bringing the entire Allied air force to the Mediterranean. I put together a package of 12 Ground Attack missions with interdiction as a high priority and everything else minimized. It was clear weather. All of these missions were at least 350 planes, and each of them targeted a single hex. Some missions were entirely single engine fighters. Some were twin engine bombers. Some were 4-engine bombers; these involved between 800 and 1100 planes in each mission.

When I checked the interdiction values after the missions, the results were: 2 hexes with level 3 interdiction; 2 hexes with level 2; 3 with level 1; 3 with level 0; and 2 hexes where there was no value given at all. The types and numbers of planes didn't seem to make any difference in the outcomes. I tried the experiment two more times, and got pretty much the same results. There is something wrong here, because that is a nonsensical result from that much effort.

I've noticed similar issues with bombing railways, though I haven't played around with it.

As I look through the forum, I see a lot of people talking about how valuable interdiction is. I don't see it at all.

Interesting. I read elsewhere that large level bombers are great for things that can't move. Tactical bombers for things that can move. So non-tactical planes from the UK may not be that helpful.

For the tactical bombers did you check the load outs? Not sure that auto does a great job. Some of them could even be set to none.

Also, if you were using FB were they set to FB-B or were they still on FB-F? Much of the Med assets need to be reassigned as FB specialists as your air suprem increases.

Are you able to post a screen shot?
