Supply Path Finding?

Supply path finding to a supply source is still wonky!! It take a convoluted path from the unit to the prime/end source! Is this being investigated by the developers? Are they trying to fix this? Another thing units do not use a local supply depot but traces, not through the depot, back to the edge of the map. The Allies don't seem to have a problem with supply. it's the Germans that have a real problem. I know historically the German had a hard time but what I see the German penetration will only reach half of what the did historically!

There are a couple concepts that I think could help.
1) Supply Depots have 5 different modes, and you can switch between them. In "regular" mode, they only boost the distance that supplies can be transported from the Supply Sources. However, they can also be configured to "deplete" mode. This will cause the Supply Depot to distribute its supplies/fuel to nearby units. The depot mode can be adjusted by clicking on the hex containing the depot and looking in the "Hex" menu on the right side of the screen. More information on this in section 4.4.2 of the manual.
2) Regarding pathing: A supplies have a maximum range of 250 "AP". Moving along an orange road uses 1 AP per hex, a grey road uses 2 AP per hex, and a dirt roads/railroads use 5 AP per hex. Moving supplies through off-road hexes uses a huge amount of AP, 30-60 AP per hex depending on the terrain. Supplies often take twisty paths to their destination because of these AP costs. This also makes securing orange and grey roads a major priority. More information on this in sections 4.2.1 and 4.2.2
