We never had an issue with it before. You sure they didn't get a 9 rail for a limited time?

I wonder if it due to Polish hexes.

The situation in Poland was very fluid but I think Lodz was liberated by the Red Army then retaken. And, since then, a German corps is preventing me to access the city. That is why I bypassed it to reach the Oder river as quickly as possible.

Maybe there is just one missing condition. Need to be next to a 9 rail to repair AND this 9 rail needs to be on our side.

It works like this. Looks for all rail 9 hexes. Then it looks int he 6 hexes around it. If it is damaged rail it fixes it.

Runs it twice over I believe.

Well you need to have control of the hex to have a 9 supply rail

I think that ncc1701e is asking if there could be a bug that allows, for example, a German rail hex to be repaired because it is adjacent its next to a... Polish (or any enemy) controlled rail hex with 9 supply.

So basically, does the engine check for ownership of the adjacent hex that would allow supply for your hex?

Yes. If both sides have a 9 supply rail hex next to each other they can still repair their own rail.... but not the other.

But I will 2x check the code to make sure it looks for this set of ownership.

This might be linked to minor countries under enemy control not doing scorched earth bug. Which is now fixed in the next patch
