When I add bulges in the rebuild window, the "weight remaining" increases by +500t but the speed remains unchanged. Is this working as intended and, if so, what is the rationale?

In RTW2, this was how it showed up in the ship builder interface. The 2 kt penalty was applied in battle though, so you just have to know when you add bulges you'll be a bit slower than what is indicated and bump up you speed (assuming your rebuilding the engines as well) or plan accordingly.

I think if you mouse over somewhere it actually shows you the specific speed penalty and such, no idea why it doesn't just modify the speed indicated towards the top of the ship design window.
