Playing as the UK I got a message saying I had too many ships in the Baltic

The only ship I had in the baltic was a corvette i had assigned to the "Foreign Station" option.

I have no ports in the Baltic

Should ships assigned to FS be sent to areas where i have no ports?

Just checking to be sure - are you certain it did not perhaps say "You have too FEW ships in the Baltic?" instead of "too many"?

Im fairly sure it was too many as I have 1 ship in the Baltic but no port.

Looking at the saved game the Baltic has a green tick and the Overview of the Baltic says

Foreign station tonnage / requirement: 2,125 / 0

I ran the gsme on one turn and the game relocated the ship from the Baltic to West Africa.

I then manually moved a ship to the Baltic and got the message again.

"We have more ships in the Baltic than our bases can support"

So it appears the Foreign Station logic decided to temporarily place a ship in a region where I have no Foriegn Station requirement. Ive only seen it happen once.

Ah, yes, that would be the issue. If you do not have any ports in a region then you cant support ships there.

If you see this happen again, it would help us quite a bit to track it down if you could post a zipped save of the entire save game folder here (or at a cloud or file-sharing service and link to the file here).
