From a multiplayer game Gordov's Counterattack:

From my understanding, group Zhuravlev should not be supplied anymore. They're cut off from airfield 1 by german ZoCs, and airfield 2 is in german possession (german troops directly on the hex). Yet still OP Zhuravlev is supplied by air? Is this a bug?

On a second thought, it would make sense if the supply was indeed dropped from the sky. In this case, it's plausible that the supply can reach any hex within 4 hexes from an air-supplied "drop zone", regardless whether the actual drop zone marker is currently under enemy control.

It's just that this is not well documented by the game manual and lead to a complete misplanning by me and my opponent.
