For Testing: US/China War 2025: Philippine Sea Wolf Pack
Posted: Sun Jun 11, 2023 4:55 pm
This is a a follow-on scenario to the US/China War 2025: USAF Wing vs PLAN Fujian; the USAF was successful and severely damaged the Fujian, destroyed its air wing, and forced the PLAN to expend a majority of their long range anti-air missiles.
This scenario now brings to bear the USN's submarine fleet, to finish the destruction of the Fujian, and open sea lanes of communication with Tawain.
While the Fujian's battle group is damaged, the PLAN Surface Action Group patrolling the same waters is fully armed and undamaged, and may pose a real threat.
Situation:
U.S. and Allied Forces in the Pacific continue to rebuild and rearm for war with China. 24 hours ago, a daring 3200nm raid by the USAF severely damaged the CNS Fujian, destroyed her air wing, and sunk one escort. In response, Misawa Air Base, which refueled the air strike, was destroyed by PLARF ballistic missiles.
As the commander of U.S. Seventh Fleet Submarine Forces, your orders are to deploy the USS Minnesota (SSN-783), USS Hawaii (SSN-776), and USS Cheyenne (SSN-773) to finish the destruction of the CNS Fujian, as well as her escorts. Supporting the Fujian CVBG is a smaller Surface Action Group (SAG), which also poses a threat to air and sea lanes of communication. Your primary target is the Fujian, secondary targets are escort ships, and the SAG. PLA network attacks have rendered U.S. and allied reconnaissance satellites offline; you must use your organic ISR assets to locate the PLAN fleets.
It is assessed that the CNS Fujian Battle Group is making best speed to Dinghai Naval Base to repair the Fujian. Ensure the enemy ships never make it back to port.
The Royal Australian Air Force, based in RAAF Darwin Air Base, will support this mission with ISR and ASW assets, and will relay any ISR infromation to your submarine forces.
Forces under your command:
US Seventh Fleet Submarine Forces
• USS Minnesota (SSN-783)
• USS Hawaii (SSN-776)
• USS Cheyenne (SSN-773)
Allied Forces Supporting:
Royal Australian Air Force, RAAF Air Base Darwin, Australia
• No. 11 Squadron RAAF (2 x P-8A)
• No. 33 Squadron (2 x KC-30A)
• No. 92nd Wing (2 x MQ-4C)
