Edit National Average?

1. Is there a way to change the national average experience for pilots? Does TRACOM really help? (just asking after skimming through the FAQ).
2. A transport plane can carry only 2 devices of aviation support if its capacity is greater than 7500 (according to the FAQ). So even if an aircraft type is modded with a capacity up to 20,000 it will still carry 2 AV support per plane?
3. "Guns Jammed", "Engine Oil leaks", etc. during air combat: Can these situations be improved by increasing the endurance value of the aircraft or are these affected by some other variables?

You can edit the experience of the various air squadrons and individual pilots, but I think the national averages per year is hard-coded somewhere. At least I've never seen it in the editor. TRACOM helps, but in a rather minimal way. You mostly just get a few more trainee pilots graduating sooner every month if you get any result at all. In the newest beta version of the game, elite pilots placed in TRACOM can be killed or wounded during the training cycle, so it's a riskier place to park those veteran pilots for future use than it used to be.

I believe these "color commentaries" are just part of the game's air combat algorithm where planes drop out of action due to damage, lack of ammo or chance. I don't believe the range or endurance value of aircraft characteristics enter into it. Durability and armor maybe, but I can't say I've noticed any difference.

Transom helps alot. In several games as the Japanese I have put my experienced pilots there and at around 300 pilots in it or so the avg experience increases. In scenario 1 I have gotten the new pilot avg experience over 50. What does not increase is the number of pilots trained. They may be trained faster but is still limited to what is recruited at the beginning of every month

For Japan which has a Heavy Industry (HI) cost of 5 HI per month if I remember correctly, the acceleration then saves that much HI per pilot per month advanced.

I don't understand. What does heavy industry have to do with pilots?

Once a game-month there is a 5 point Heavy Industry 'tax' paid for every Japanese pilot who is training to get to the national average (so, pilots in the 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 experience columns.). It represents the various pilot training schools using resources (such as writing off destroyed trainers, fuel, etc.). At the end of each month, at the point where the HI tax is paid, you will see that Japanese HI takes a dip. Japanese pilots training in on-map squadrons do not incur the HI levy. The Allies are exempt from this rule.

This is where the pools, AVG & replacements are edited in the Editor:
