Link/zone data differs

What does the aforementioned message mean? My oppo got a new PC, but is running the same version as previously (26b). No obvious issues with the subsequent combat resolution.

Never heard of it before. When does it occur, duriing installion, running game, loading etc.

If your mod/scen expects a different version of the files, matching the 2 files mentioned above fixes the issue. Make sure the allied player can use the offmap routes correctly - as in try that ships can be sent to/between all off-map locations as expected.

Also, did your opponent just copy his files to the new PC? That will not work because it does not update the Windows Registry to tell Windows what programs are installed where. He needs to do a complete reinstall of the program and update to the patch you want to use. Then start any mod that he has extracted into his newly installed game.
